Enriched outreach

Outreach that starts with a reason to be writing

Cold outreach fails for one of two reasons. Either you are contacting the wrong people, or you are contacting the right people with nothing to say. Enrichment is what fixes both: it tells you who is actually worth a message, and it gives you the specific reason to send it today rather than in six months.

Why does most cold outreach get ignored?

Because it was written to a list and not to a person, and it turns up with no reason attached. The recipient can tell inside one line, and once they can tell, nothing you wrote after that gets read.

Nobody minds hearing from a stranger who clearly knows something true about their situation. They mind being one of four hundred.

What does "enriched" actually mean?

It means taking a name and adding the things that make that name worth contacting. What the company does. How big it is. What it is doing right now. A verified way to actually reach the person.

Everything after that step gets better because the input is better. The message writes itself when you already know why you are writing.

How do you decide who is worth contacting?

Signal first, list second. We start from something happening in the business that makes your offer relevant this month, then find the people it applies to. That is the opposite order to how most lists are built, and it is the reason most lists do not work.

Signals worth acting on, roughly in order of how well they convert

  1. 1They are hiring for the role you would replace or support. The clearest possible sign there is budget and an unmet need.
  2. 2They just raised money or announced expansion. Spend is about to happen and priorities are being set now.
  3. 3They changed leadership in the function you serve. New leaders rebuild, and they do it in their first ninety days.
  4. 4They are visibly doing the work by hand. Public evidence of a manual process is an invitation.
  5. 5They engaged with something you published. Warm, but on its own it is interest rather than need.

Is this just spam at volume?

No, and the difference is checkable rather than a claim. Fewer messages, better targeted, each one naming something true about the person receiving it. Read any ten of them and you will see whether that is happening.

It also happens to be against our own interest to do otherwise. Volume without relevance burns the sending domain and the brand attached to it, and we are the ones who would have to rebuild both.

Questions people ask

Do I need my own list?

No. Building the list is part of the work, and it is the part that decides whether everything downstream succeeds. If you already have a list we will audit it first, because inherited lists are usually the reason previous attempts failed.

Will this hurt my email reputation?

Not if it is set up properly, which means sending infrastructure that is separate from your main business email and warmed before it sends anything. Getting this wrong is how businesses end up in spam permanently. It is the first thing we set up and the slowest, and we will not rush it to start sooner.

Who replies to the responses?

A real person, and early on that is usually us alongside you. Drafting a reply is easy to automate and answering a genuinely interested buyer is not, so we keep a human on the part that decides whether a deal happens.

How is this different from hiring an SDR?

An SDR is a salary, a ramp period, and a person who can only work during their own working hours. This is a system that runs continuously with an operator steering it, for less than the cost of the hire, and you keep the system.
